Flying to Tel Aviv was without problem, but there have been other issues. First, the doctors of the Hadassah Hospital went on strike after they received only half their salary for January. That was fixed (at least temporarily). Then there was a rally grid locking traffic in Jerusalem on Sunday so we stayed in Tel Aviv for the night. When we landed there was a yellow haze that was still there today. A rare event of sand coming in from the Sahara. Now there is unusually warm weather for the season, supposedly getting even hotter later in the week. Surgery accomplished what was intended. Sam was fine afterwards, no real pain. We were there at 7.30 and didn't get back home until 4. Sam slept the rest of the day and evening. Because of the demonstration in Jerusalem we spent the night at an Airbnb close to the airport. The woman lodging us drove us the next day to a bus station so we
could get to Jerusalem and Dr Becker. I mentioned the reason for our trip and the woman started gushing praise about Dr Becker. Turned out that she coordinated the orthodontic care for the police department and Dr Becker was their go-to expert. Small world! |
